Attendance Award
Each term at Mickleham Primary School, students with exceptional attendance are rewarded by being invited to a hot chip lunch.
Remember, being at school is very important as we want all our students to get a great education, and the building blocks for a great education begin with students coming to school each and every day. If students miss school regularly, they miss out on learning the fundamental skills that will set them up for success in the later years of school. There is no safe number of days for missing school – each day a student misses puts them behind and can affect their educational outcomes. Each missed day is associated with progressively lower achievement in Reading, Writing and Mathematics.
Well done to Prep A (Mr Tuttle) who were the attendance award winners for Weeks 4 and 5.
District Athletics Day
On Monday 25th August, 44 Grade 4, 5 and 6 students attended District Athletics Day at Meadowglen Athletics Centre.
Students participated in a range of different sporting events against our local schools. We are very proud of all the students who attended and showed our School’s RICH Values. We are especially proud of the effort you all put into your races – we had nearly every student stick through their event, even when they were not in with a place. We saw real resilience in you.
OUR RESULTS: 1st and 2nd place-getters are invited to the Woodlands Division Athletics Carnival on 16th September.
