As an introduction to our Term 3 Inquiry unit, ‘Weather in our World,’ we will be holding a Science evening at school on Wednesday, 23rd of July.
In this program, students will:
- investigate weather phenomena including clouds, lightning and snow
- learn about temperature and how to read a thermometer
- discuss how the weather affects what we do and how we dress
Victorian Curriculum
Observable changes occur in the sky and landscape; daily and seasonal changes affect everyday life (VCSSU046)
Participate in guided investigations, including making observations using the senses, to explore and answer questions (VCSIS051)
The evening will run from 5.30 – 7pm. Students will participate in various activities assisted by their parents/carers.
Please note: Older siblings may attend if care arrangements are needed and will be provided with a movie in another classroom.
